Humanex Foundation’s Connection to Humanex Academy
Humanex Academy is an independent, private school that does not receive funding from local or state government sources. Therefore, we created Humanex Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to help Humanex Academy with the Alex C. Teves Memorial Scholarship Award, support professional development opportunities for the Humanex Academy staff, and provide technology software or equipment for the school. We accomplish these goals through fundraising events each year. It is this ongoing support that helps Humanex Academy Imagine the Amazing because the Foundation believes in Supporting the Amazing!
Alex C. Teves Memorial Scholarship Award
Between 20-25% of Humanex Academy students need some financial assistance to begin or continue their studies. They chose Humanex because it offers a structured learning environment, self-paced individualized curriculum and is a school that celebrates their unique learning and social/emotional needs.
Professional Development Fund
With an 8:1 ratio per classroom, Humanex teachers do more than just teach; they give 100% of their time, talents, and themselves each day to each student. We provide funds for the teachers to find opportunities to enhance their professional development, explore and hone new talents, and renew themselves.
Technology Fund
Humanex students deserve cutting-edge technology in each classroom. Teachers deserve to have the latest technology such as Chromebooks to meet their professional needs as well as needs of their student population. In short, they deserve a robust Technology Fund that meets and exceeds their daily academic demands.
