Alex C. Teves Memorial Scholarship

Who was Alex C. Teves?

In short, Alex was an everyday hero!  He lived life to the fullest, embraced all challenges, and was dedicated to helping others live their best lives.  Humanex Academy was fortunate to have Alex as an intern who loved counseling students with unique learning challenges.  Alex had recently graduated from his Master’s degree in Psychology at the University of Denver when he was tragically taken in the 2012 Aurora, Colorado theater shooting.

What is the ACT-Foundation?

The Teves family turned their loss and grief into action by setting up the ACT-Foundation in order to continue Alex’s lifelong passion and work. Join us in celebrating his selfless spirit and passion for helping others reach their true potential through individualized support and education.

What does the ACT-Foundation do?

Through the tireless efforts of the Teves family, the ACT-FOUNDATION  raises funds for the Alex C. Teves Memorial Scholarship, a financial need-based award, granted to students who attend Humanex Academy.  Through Alex’s spirit and legacy many Humanex students reach their potential by graduating with a high school diploma.

How can you get involved?
