Two Foundations ~ United
The Humanex Foundation proudly works together with the ACT Foundation awarding Humanex Academy students with the Alex C. Teves financial need-based scholarship. Our Foundations are united through Alex C. Teves, a 2011-12 Counseling Intern at Humanex Academy. Alex, our True Hero, loved counseling students with unique learning needs, craft beer, and giving free hugs. Alex was tragically killed in the Aurora Theater shooting on July 20, 2012. The Teves family set up the Alex C. Teves Memorial Scholarship as a way to honor his life and preserve his legacy.

Two Foundations ~ What we accomplish in 2019
The ACT-Foundation donors raised over $26,000 for the Alex C. Teves Memorial Scholarship Award. On June 1, 2019, Humanex Foundation supplemented an additional $6,000 to award eight Humanex Academy families $30,000 in Scholarship awards! We look forward to raising additional funds to help meet the financial needs of new Humanex Academy families in Spring 2020. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2019
Teacher Development Funds: Thanks to our Humanex Foundation donors, we were able to sponsor a conference fee for a teacher, provide support for an online course, and provide CPR training to the entire staff.
We met our Technology goal of raising $10,000. As of June 22, 2019, we replaced all the Humanex Academy staff computers and provided partial funding for student audiobooks for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020.
Two Foundations ~ One Fundraising Goal for 2020
2020 Fundraising Goal: $45,000
Our 2020 goal is to raise $35,000 for the Alex C. Teves Memorial Scholarship Award so we can continue to offer it to as many families as possible. Additionally, Humanex Foundation would like to raise an additional $5,000 for Teacher Development Fund to continue to offer outstanding opportunities for the staff to participate in and $5,000 Technology Fund to replace student Chromebooks.
